We are designing a new museum and community build project that will be all about the LEGO products created over the years and the fan community that formed around them. 

It will have museum style glass display cases around the outside of the room and a giant LEGO city in the middle of the room. It should appeal to LEGO fans of all ages as well as anyone that was a kid in the last 100 years.

LEGO City and Trains

We have a 13ft x 60ft LEGO city. That is over 1.2 million studs of surface area. The them of the city is 1930's - 1950's Americana. There will be an agricultural area, an industrial / manufacturing area, county park for larger events, rural subdivision, downtown, city park, apartment buildings, shops and local government. Two LEGO train tracks encircle the entire display, and a trolly track will loop amongst the town.

You can donate your unused LEGO baseplates, trains, modular buildings and bulk LEGO bins to this community project. What we cannot use directly will be sold and used to buy other needed items for the display.

Dioramas

Underneath the city there are (18) 6 ft glass cases and (4) 4 ft glass cases that will hold LEGO dioramas that are smaller scenes that do not fit the theme of the city above. Some of these will be official LEGO sets and others will be fan created works of art made from official LEGO parts.

Local LEGO artist, Trevor Wright, is building a 6 ft long aquarium build.

Local LEGO artist, Zeke is building a 12 ft long enchanted forest. 

A 6 ft Minions build will feature a banana plantation or grocery store heist. 

Museum

The museum is housed in (19) 6 ft wide x 6 ft tall glass cases around the outer edge of the room and facing in towards the giant LEGO city.

Our store has been open to the public since 2020 and we have been selling LEGO in Wilson County, TN since 2010. This has allowed us to accumulate some unique and rare LEGO pieces, sets and memorabilia for our museum. You can also donate your unused LEGO items to our museum. What we cannot use directly will be sold and used to buy other exhibits and display furnishings.

Collections

The museum has several larger collections of official LEGO sets as well as custom items made from official LEGO pieces.

Trains: There are over (30) LEGO trains with dozens more being rebuilt for the museum.

Large Cars: There are over (19) 1:8 scale and similar size sports cars, race cars, F1, and exotic LEGO cars.

Military and war history: There are over (110) models of planes, helicopters, tanks, boats, trucks, buildings and large guns built from genuine LEGO parts mostly from the custom Brickmania instruction books we sell in our store.

Local Artists and Fan-Designed custom builds, or My Own Creation (MoCs) include: Works by Sadler Web, Domanic Turner, Morgan Chambers, Ralph Pierce (Coffee County), Neal McClatchey (Murfreesboro, TN), Josh Van Hooreweghe and more.

Alt Builds: Alternate Builds are a high-level talent where artists challenge themselves to build something entirely different than the featured build on the front of the set box, but using only the pieces from that set. We have some impressive demonstrations of just what is possible with a limited set of pieces.

LEGO Stores: Occasionally LEGO releases a set that is a model of a LEGO store. We have (8) of these on display. If you donate one we do not have, we will put your name on the display.

Color Key: We have part samples of over 144 colors LEGO has used over the years including some very rare colors and parts used in only one set or less. How can it be less than one? Some pieces were only used for workshops, LEGOLAND sculptures, or test bricks - never getting used in an official set.

Ships with sails: There are over (10) LEGO ships with sails from across many themes and decades.

Motorcycles: There are over (10) large LEGO motorcycles, dirtbikes, and other styles.

Shields: There have been so many minifigure shields over the years. Do we have the largest collection in the world?

Admission Fees

$10 per person (Adults $10, Children $10, Toddlers $10) Combination tickets available to visit Play Museum and Fun Zone on the same day.

The Play Museum is designed to be interesting for all ages.

Free admission for anyone that cannot move on their own: 
Babies that are NOT walking or crawling and will remain in a car seat, stroller, or parent’s arms for the entire visit. 
Wheelchair users that cannot operate their own chair. 

Photography and videography are allowed only by paying base licensing fee of $500 plus $5 per photo and $50 per minute of video footage captured. Any unauthorized photos or videos in museum area or of museum exhibits represent theft of service and is a Criminal Offense in Tennessee TN Code § 39-14-104.
